3/18/07

Today is Sunday and I have risen at the crack of dawn as usual so that I can spend a few hours working on my lesson plans for the next week of school. Those eager, young minds are never satisfied. Which is good, but alot of work! Especially this young, you can't just set them to a task and let them go most of the time. You must circulate and monitor.... So, I get up with the puppy (for those of you that didn't know we recently acquired a golden retriever pup. Her name is Biscuit (after the dog in the popular easy reader series, recommended by one of my students). She is about 10 weeks old now I guess. She is very cute and going to be a tank!) Back to my original sentence...I get up with the puppy and then spend a few hours working on plans in the quiet of O'dark thirty in hopes that I can spend Sunday afternoon observing the Sabbath rest. I am trying to do all my cooking for the week/house cleaning on Saturday, and lessons Sunday early AM so that the afternoon is free for vegetating and reflection. Trying to put into practice a good message that our pastor gave last week. Trying anyway! A side note if you are new to my blog (which you all are seeing as this is only my second post ever!) even though I am a teacher....I will not be chained by the rules of grammar. I will write freely and without constraint. You might not see too many spelling errors because that is a pet peeve of mine. However, I will not be stressing out over whether or not my interjection should have a comma or whether it should be it's own sentence. I do enough of that during the week... Ok, so that having been said. I better go and work on some more of those plans or else there will be no quiet introspection this afternoon...
